Cybersecurity training for U.S. Space Force i5, starting with CYBER250: an advanced, hands-on offensive-security course that I built.
I joined the i5 national cyber team in November 2024, moved up to Cyber250 National Program Coordinator leading course development, and now hold the title Cyber Training Officer at i5 headquarters.
The main artifact is CYBER250, an advanced hands-on course in offensive-security tooling: network enumeration with Nmap, footprinting and DNS, file-transfer techniques, password attacks (John the Ripper, credential hunting), and web tooling (ffuf, Burp Suite, Metasploit, msfvenom). The modules are guided walkthroughs with real command transcripts, practical labs for each tool, and a final challenge target that brings every tool into one realistic scenario. Development ran in conjunction with the Space Force’s Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), and I coordinated the team of contributors writing the curriculum.
