I’m Parth Mittal — computer science at Cornell University, class of 2028, from Torrance, California.

I build a lot of software — simulators, radios, navigation, trading infrastructure, libraries, games. The projects change; what stays constant is caring how they’re architected: the layering, the interfaces, the failure modes. Aerospace is the direction I’m taking that — most recently, for example, a framework for deciding where a spacecraft’s computation should run.

At Cornell I work in two research groups — space-instrument software in Dr. Savransky’s SIOSLab and motion analysis in Dr. Ferrari’s LISC — and I’m a co-author on two papers currently under review. I’ve interned on compiler-level fuzzing infrastructure and GPS-denied drone navigation — neither was territory I knew going in — and led networks for a US Navy radio project through MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s SOCOM Ignite program.
